Enthusiasm
I was listening to the radio this morning (which is Saturday as I write this) and I heard a reasonable feature on blogging in Ireland, surprisingly. Surprising in that generally the radio does an awful job of dealing with blogs, either by getting the concept wrong entirely or by writing the whole thing off on the basis of a few bad examples. This time they actually did it quite well and managed to find a few coherent bloggers to talk to (I don’t know why but some of the best writers online are terrible interviewees on the radio, thankfully not in this case though).
This new found enthusiasm probably also has something to do with getting passed a few major milestones in work which has also allowed me to relax of late. Progress is being made in various projects so things are looking brighter. I’m still enjoying it so that’s good. I’ve also caught myself a few times in the last week reading something of interest and then telling myself I should stop and get back to work before realising that it is work. That reinforces the feeling that I’ve made the right decision in changing jobs.
Anyway, the point of this ramble is to say that it made me feel like writing here for the first time in quite a while, therefore while I have that feeling I’m going take me chance and see where I end up. I’m also going to worry less about having anything worthwhile to write about as the people I know of who read this and who mention it to me tell me to write something, not to write something worthwhile :) Therefore the new regime starts here, I’m going to ramble to my hearts content, complain if I want to and write geeky entries I’d be interested in reading. It won’t suit everyone, however I don’t mind, this is for me!
