Estate Agents and Email

Estate Agents love phones as far as I can tell. I emailed 3 different ones this week and each one of them responded to me by phone. In my ideal world I’d communicate with them via email and talk to them only when absolutely required. I don’t like phones, I don’t like talking to people on them, I avoid them if at all possible (Sorry Michèle).

Duggie managed to buy his house via email, but this seems to be the exception rather than the rule. I am tempted to edit my PropertyNews account to make the phone number invalid, but they probably wouldn’t bother getting in touch rather than using my email address. When SWM gets his property website up and running (subtle hint there Stephen) I hope he includes an option to state your prefered method of communication. And RSS/Atom feeds. And…
