This is a single post from deeden.co.uk made during the period May 2002 to April 2009. During a previous grand redesign I decided to make a break with the past and consign the old entries to history. This entry is from May 2005 and lives here forevermore.

Slightly more noise

A few other points worthy of consideration. My new MP is Alistair McDonnell who I will now be watching. The power of RSS and Atom is a joy to behold.

I’ve just finished reading The Prisoner’s Dilemma, a new Prisoner novel from Powysmedia. It’s the first in a projected series of 6. First the good news, it’s definitely the best of the Prisoner novels I’ve read. It easily beats the 3 published in the late 60s and early 70s. The writers are clearly fans of the series and have done their research. The baddish news is that I’m still not entirely sure about the whole story. At times it seemed to lose the way and become side-tracked with being strange for strangeness’ sake. I’ll give it a few days to settle down in my head and give a more considered opinion then.

BRUG, the Belfast [Ruby / Rails] User Group meets for the first time on the 24th of May. It’s a good thing I just checked that as I thought it was on the 17th. Feel free to come along and talk about Ruby and/or Rails with other people, regardless of your expertise.
