New York Changing: “Berenice Abbott’s ‘Changing New York’ project in the late 1930’s created a majestic documentation of Manhattan and the surrounding boroughs. Since 1997 I have returned to the original sites, with the identical camera, an 8x10 Century Universal, at the same time of day and year.”

A fantastic site showing photos from the same positions taken in the 1930s and recent years. This is exactly what I was taking about last year. I’d love to see something like this for Northern Ireland, the only problem being where do you go to get the photographs from the past and permission to reproduce them?
