This is a single post from deeden.co.uk made during the period May 2002 to April 2009. During a previous grand redesign I decided to make a break with the past and consign the old entries to history. This entry is from July 2004 and lives here forevermore.

Schrodinger's Zombie Cat

Michèle is not the biggest fan of quantum physics. I won’t repeat her exact phrase but you can take it as read that she’s not convinced. New Scientist, (yes, she’s a subscriber), last week had a long article on quantum physics and possible flaws in the current “accepted” theory. This brought up the topic of Schrodinger’s cat. The following trail of thought then occurred…

  1. The cat is in the box/bag/container of your choice.
  2. The cat is both alive and dead.
  3. The cat is therefore undead.
  4. Thus, Schrodinger’s cat was/is a zombie.

At this point we sensibly returned to reading our books.
