It's my birthday

Today I turned 29. I’ve had a lovely day. A wonderful lunch, put together by Michèle, with her and my parents. It was great to see them before they go on holiday, hopefully they’ll have a good time.

My sister also rang and has broken with years to tradition by attempting to get my present to me on time. I’ll have to break my long-standing habit and try do likewise. Tomorrow I’ll find out what she got me, depending on the vagaries of the Royal Mail. Today she rang and that was more than good enough for me.

Michele has been great today, making sure I’ve just got to relax and enjoy myself. I spent a couple of hours happily trying to spend an Amazon voucher and after that time have spend only a portion of it and have a number of nice things on the way to me. I’ve also spend some of my time ripping the CDs that I received today. Interesting and varied listening is to be had over the next few weeks.

Overall it has been a great day, lovely and relaxing. Thanks everybody.
