Loo breaks and the inevitability of progress
I have just spent a number of hours wrestling with some code. I wanted to write a small plugin for Template Toolkit. Try as I might I couldn’t persuade it to work, even with numerous readings of docs, mailing lists and other plugins. So I gave up for the night. I decided to go to the bathroom and then head to bed. Then I had the brain wave. I wasn’t even thinking about it, it just popped into my head. A minute after sitting down at the machine, the problem was solved. It now works perfectly. I only wish I’d gone to the loo a couple of hours earlier!
