Searching - I can search, you can search, Genghis Khan search
I was having a look at my access logs to see the various strange searches that have brought people here during the last few weeks. There were the usual suspects such as child brides and diving horses (both of these due to Auteurs lyrics), along with a plethora of Manchester City references deriving from the closure of Maine Road. Three sets of searches really stood out though.
The first set inspired the title of this entry. They were, in no particular order, genghis khan follower, follower of genghis khan and “genghis khan ” follower. I have no idea why 6 different people felt the need to search for those. History essay, strange cult, you decide. Regardless, I have no information on that subject and am unlikely to in the future. Sorry to disappoint, but you’ll only find Genghis on the Auteurs Who’s Who.
My favourite set of searches were the wildly optimistic jack de ripper when was he born and when was jack the ripper born. Neatly sidestepping the common question these people were looking for an answer to the less asked question. I suppose if we can find out his date of birth then working out his name should be much easier! Yet again I’ll be no help as it’s the Auteurs Who’s Who causing the hit.
Finally we come to the disturbing queries of the week, “make a letter bomb” and “how to make a letter bomb”. These people just scare me. All the more so as one of them appears to be in the UK. People, just because I live in Belfast doesn’t mean that I have this kind of information. Also if I did, I wouldn’t share it.
