This is a single post from deeden.co.uk made during the period May 2002 to April 2009. During a previous grand redesign I decided to make a break with the past and consign the old entries to history. This entry is from April 2003 and lives here forevermore.

Signs of life

I am still alive here. I’m writing this to keep Michele happy, she says I don’t write enough. She is right. She wants me to write more, like Marc. So some quick thoughts on my current obsessions, bothers and events.

  • Manchester City are safe in the Premier League. This may seem like little to you, but it means a lot to me.
  • I’m going to the final City game at Maine Road. Tickets are like gold dust so I’m delighted to be going. It’s almost 19 years since I first went to Maine Road and I’d like to go one last time before it’s closed, and possibly demolished.
  • Ebay has an awful login interface. I tried to login to my old account. I’d forgotten the password. I followed the instructions to let me change the password. Once I’d done all that I was told that my account had been inactive for a long period and that I should re-sign in. I began to see the pattern. I tried to email them using the contacts page, but I needed to login to use it. I created a new account.
  • Six of One, the official Prisoner society (that’s a strange concept), appears to be in the middle of a civil war. There’s so much irony in the situation that for once I’ll refrain from commenting.
  • I’m reading books at a reasonable pace. The list is slowly getting smaller.
