This is a single post from deeden.co.uk made during the period May 2002 to April 2009. During a previous grand redesign I decided to make a break with the past and consign the old entries to history. This entry is from April 2003 and lives here forevermore.

Out of hibernation

I’ve been very quiet here recently. No more so than usual you may well think. Be that as it may I’m back to write again. Not much to say now, again no change from the usual.

Two of the books from the book backlog have been finished. So far I’ve read Homicide: a year on the Killing Streets by David Simon and Archangel by Robert Harris. Homicide was excellent, whilst Archangel is a decent thriller which passes the time. I might review those in greater depth at some later point.

I’m currently making my way through The Spanish Civil War by Antony Beevor and On the Beach by Nevil Shute. On the Beach isn’t actually one of the backlog, I just fancied rereading it.
