This is a single post from deeden.co.uk made during the period May 2002 to April 2009. During a previous grand redesign I decided to make a break with the past and consign the old entries to history. This entry is from March 2003 and lives here forevermore.

New Safari User-agent string

It looks like Safari has got a slightly updated user-agent string in the recently escaped build 64. This string has been appearing in my logs in the last couple of days, Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/64 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/64. The main noticeable difference is the KHTML, like Gecko rather than the old like Gecko. Presumably they felt the need to be a bit more specific.

You’d never guess that I’ve spend a fair amount of time digging around in user agent strings of late would you!
