Chess Games Repository

My new favourite chess site is almost ChessGames. I say “almost” because it has an annoying feature where it won’t let me look at the games if I have javascript turned on. It checks to see if I’m running a suitable version of IE or Netscape and, as I’m using Chimera, redirects me to a non-existent page with the filename “UpgradeBrowser.html”. I’ve sent of an email politely asking them to fix it. Until that’s done I’ll have to remember to turn javascript off before going to the site.

Anyway, it has a wonderful collection of chess games with PGN for download as well. The best bit though is the “Opening Explorer” which allows searching on the opening few moves a game.
