What is a blog for?
Marc is wondering what his blog is for and is comparing it to other blogs which he seems to think are more “worthy” (that’s for Andrew!). What is the problem here?
I really like Andrew’s blog as it’s insightful and funny. Tony’s covers lots of interesting stuff and is a good point to start picking up on different trends. However Marc’s is the one I look at more than the others, because it is more down-to-earth and “trivial”. Trivial isn’t bad, trivial is sometimes the best thing in the world.
The world could do with more blogs which are simple. Yay Marc and his blog. Yay Andrew and Tony too. Yay Dave Winer, who has a nice balance. Boo to blogs which are trying too hard. We don’t all have to be social commentators, or journalists! Annoyingly this is getting to close to the line, so I’m going to tone things down by slagging off Roy Keane, the overpaid arrogant whinger. I’d play on a concrete pitch if it meant I could play for Ireland in the World Cup, so I disgusted at his pitiful attitude.
I must say that I’ve reconsidered my opinion of Dave Winer. Balance? Bollocks more like.
